ROTARIAN Doris Anoliefo Essiet shares her Rotary Story
A couple of years ago, I realized I didn’t have quality friends.
Being in a land where language was a barrier, you can understand my frustration.
So that evening when Ephraim Obio asked me to attend a meeting with him, I was excited about it.
But what Ephraim failed to do was tell me how my life will change after that meeting.
That was the beginning of my journey as a Rotarian.
In the course of the last 4 years, I have made amazing quality friends, I have my very own personal doctor who have saved my life more than once. Thank you Francis Inyang
I have my very own legal representatives and advisors, my incredible brothers Ime Umofiah and Bassey Ekanem
I have my own personal business coach who have been a catalyst to my business growth Mfon Abraham
I have my personal advisors who are like my big sisters and my anchors Mercy Daniel Idongesit Domingoinyang, Eka Etuk, Mayen Inwang
Then I have my wahala people who can worry me for Africa, who fill up my evenings with calls and hang outs, who will come after me for this post and whom I love immensely.
Don’t worry, I will tag them to this post😜🤣
So you see, quality friends now surround me and not just in Uyo but all over the country and beyond.
All because I am a Rotarian!!
August is our membership month, if you desire to know more about Rotary and what you can benefit (and give) as a Rotarian, give me a shout out.
I am of the Rotary Club of Uyo but I can help you locate a Rotary club near you.
Be a Rotarian!
It pays to serve!
